Busy Week(s)

School has been insane. Book reports, essays, presentations...I feel positively SUFFOCATED with all this work. Haven't the teachers ever heard of stress-free, fun learning? Don't answer that. Please. The answer could just break my heart.
The only thing that has provided me the least bit of pleasure is when I was going through all my old stuff during the weekend, and I came upon a stack of notebooks, along with teen novels. Do any of you happen to remember the Clique books, by Lisi Harrison? I used to love them. I confess that, for my guitly pleasure, I still purchase the latest books and read them from cover to cover (But come awn! They're so cute, and devilish! How can you resist?) I was re-reading the first book, and I couldn't help but laugh...I still dislike Claire, though I know the whole story would be nuh-thing without her. I SO want to get the newest book - P.S. I Loathe You (Lisi makes up such ah-dorable titles!) and read it...The Pretty Committee is in eight grade already! LOL, I sound like some dotting mom.

One Stupid Monday

Today was so freaking boring, I almost CRIED.
Plus, my English teacher gave me such a bad grade, I'm not even going to type it out.
But either way...
Today was crummy. One darned crummy Monday.

I feel as if the weekend hasnt even started, and yet I had to get up to go to SCHOOL. Ew.

Sunday: Church. Bookstore.
Monday: No school. Spent the day doing my nails.
Tuesday: No school. Invited Nikki over to house; did hair, arranged outfits, etc.

New Year Resolutions

2009 - it's a new, fresh start, a chance to bloom and change. I am determined to make 2009 an AMAZING year, and these are some goals I set to help me do so...

New Year Resolutions
By Alice Rachael Block
1. No more holding back what I really feel inside. Be assertive; tell people how I really feel, not what I think they want me to feel. My feelings are just as important as theirs. Hey, I'm only human - it's healthy to let rip once in a while.
2. STOP OBSESSING. As I teen, I find myself musing over little details - weight, hair, nails, legs etc. I'm not perfect, and I'll never be. No one will ever be perfect, so long they're human. Relax, and do things at a steady pace. No more concentrating on unimportant things. My life has only begun.
3. Stop babbling. Babbling often gets me in trouble, and I feel like a complete moron afterwards. That ol' quote again - Think before you act/speak.
4. Don't flatter, unless it's really, really necessary. Flattering gives people the wrong idea sometimes.
5. Pay attention in class. It's useful sometimes.
6. KICK SOME BUTT.

Blogger

Blogger runs on a completely different clock than I do. It is 2009 over where I live...what's with the whole 'IT'S STILL 2008' thing???

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
